Run out of town by a scandalous encounter with a masked bandit, gold-digger Flower Belle Lee meets con artist Cuthbert J. Twillie on an outbound train. Thinking he's rich, Lee weds Twillie in a sham marriage. They arrive in Greasewood City, and the corrupt town boss appoints Twillie as sheriff, but a string of cons and deceits send Twille to the gallows as the masked bandit, and Lee must save him.
